Clint’s been hooked on CrossFit for about 3 years now. He opened Whip It CrossFit in January of 2012 with a 1,700 sq. ft. facility and has expanded into a 6,000 sq. ft. facility in less than a year. He loves the changes he sees, not only in member’s bodies, but in their overall attitude and mentality. Clint truly cares about people and helping them safely achieve their health and fitness goals. He has created an environment that is fun but also serious. He’s also passionate about what a great strength and conditioning program CrossFit is for young athletes who want to get an edge in their desired sport, whether it be soccer, lacrosse, boxing, wrestling, swimming, football, baseball. “I enjoy being a part of the CrossFit community because it’s a healthy, clean, happy fraternity. I got into coaching because I want to help people and I also wanted to be able to give kids something different. My favoriote exercises are the Mucle Up and the Squat Snatch. They are both very technical moves that are graceful and fast.”

Lauren is a Level 1 certified coach. She attended Southern Connecticut State University and earned a BS in Exercise Science. “I began running at the age of 12. I ran all through junior high and high school. In college, I did not want to run competitively anymore but still continued running on my own. I do CrossFit because I love the camaraderie. I love how the environment puhes you to your limits and that everyone encourages you to do your best. I started CrossFit at another box in 2010. I was hooked after my first workout, Cindy. In January of 2012 I joined Whip It CrossFit. I got into coaching because I love to help people accomplish their goals. My favorite exercise is pull ups and any type of running. My least favorite exercise (Can I have multiple?) burpees and pistols. ”
Susannah is a Level 1 Certified Coach. Born in Mexico City, Mexico and raised in San Diego, CA. She has a degree from California State University in Liberal Arts with a concentration in Psychology. “Growing up in CA, exercise was a way of life. I was either swimming, surfing, playing soccer or tennis. My mom and older siblings set the example for making exercise a priority for good health and peace of mind. I do CrossFit because I love the challenge of pushing myself toward success. I like the ability to track my progrress and visibly see myself get faster and stronger every day. I coach because I love sharing with members that exercise can be challenging AND fun. It’s rewarding to help a client achieve something they never thought they could do. Our kids enjoy working hard and as a result their self confidence builds. It’s amazing to watch the smiles on their faces, even in the middle of pull-ups!”

T.J. Tucker, from Branford, CT is a Level 1 Certified Coach at Whip It CrossFit. T.J’s passion is CrossFit. “I love to be challenged and am very competitive. I enjoy working with all kinds of people from all different backgrounds and abilities.” In addition to CrossFit, T.J. also hikes, backpacks, bikes and is an avid fly fisherman and hunter. He has backpacked through the international Appalachian trails of Canada and played football and basketball in high school and was on the track team.

Jason Davis is a level 1 Certified Coach from Madison CT and has been a firefighter/EMT for Hamden for 5 years. “I began exercising regularly about ten years ago in order to lose weight and live a healthier life style. I began crossfit because I enjoy the ever changing workouts that both challenge you as an individual, but also against others. Outside of crossfit, I like to run, hike, and compete in other organized sports. Crossfit helps with maintaining the fitness needed to perform the tasks that are called upon while on duty. I have competed in several tough mudders, as well as other road race and obstacle challenges.”
